Jackie Chan reprises his role as Hong Kong Police Officer Kevin Chan in this true sequel to his award-winning original. After Officer Chan’s destructive exploits in Police Story 1, he’s demoted to a traffic cop. But that doesn’t stop him from taking on some crazed terrorist bombers. Actress Maggie Cheung (Hero, The Heroic Trio) took a severe head injury during a stunt, so any successive shots of the back of her head required a body double. The accident is documented during the final credits, Jackie’s signature “NG” (no good). Police Story 2 won the prestigious Best Action Design for stunts and choreography at the 1988 Hong Kong film awards.
