The 17th annual Twin Towers Classic event (www.twintowerskarate.com) was held August 24th - 25th in the heart of New York City, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Galleria. Twin Towers Classic is a NASKA World Tour “AAA” rated and KRANE “AAAA” rated tournament. The event was managed under the direction of co-promoters Lee Ireland and Jessie Wray and their team of dedicated volunteers and important supporters including Albert Andrews Sr., Leon Andrews Sr. and Armando A. Wynter.

Over 1,200 talented domestic and international competitors were on hand to exhibit their world-class martial arts skills and highflying acrobatics in forms, weapons, team fighting, self-defense and sparring events. This 2007 event featured over 300 divisions and awarded over $15,000 in cash prizes to adult Black Belts as well as 6’ trophies to Under Black Belt champions. The “Big Apple Battle” hard-point fighting was the featured highlight of the Saturday “Nighttime Finals Show”.
